Birth Affirmations

Birth Affirmations

Here is my list of Birth Affirmations that I used as part of my preparation for using birth hypnosis.

Using Hypnosis for easier childbirth actually takes a lot of practice, training your mind and body to relax, so you stay unafraid and can get maximum oxygen to keep that uterus happy and exercising it’s job well!

I collected and adapted these from the references list – they are repeated as you can see, so I read them over and over until they became my ‘reality’.

I had the list on the wall in the loo and read through them on each visit – pregnant ladies go there a lot after all!

I’d also practice being relaxed AS I read them, getting ‘in the zone.’ I’d visualise, imagine and ‘feel’ as I read them, it was a simple relaxation strategy to fit into my day, and I found it really helpful. “Next time” I will make beautiful ‘cue cards’ that I can take with me for a quick positive ‘fix’ as daily activities allow. I made some for a friend, and it was a wonderful experience creating them – very empowering and reinforcing of the messages within.
